Next Generation Audio is a key part of the new era of connected, personalised broadcasts.
In a recent consumer study investigating what features we want from new broadcast services – from UHD to in-car to interactivity – Next Generation Audio features were strongly supported. In fact, dialogue adjustability had some of the broadest appeal of all the features tested – valued just as much by millennials as by older viewers.
So what is Next Generation Audio?
Simply put, Next Generation Audio gives you sound the way you want it, however you choose to watch. Sound that’s immersive – that envelops you in realistic sound from all around including overhead, and transports you to the heart of the action, whether you’re listening with the biggest home theatre, a TV or soundbar, or on a phone with headphones. Sound that’s personalised – that matches your preferences and needs, even when you are receiving the same broadcast or stream as everyone else.
